How to use Zelle with USAA?
To get started, download the USAA app on your device and sign up for Zelle from it. You must link your USA phone number and email address to complete the registration.
The person receiving the money needs a US bank account to complete the transaction. When you make the transaction, the funds will be available to the recipient in minutes. To receive money this way, you must log in to the USAA mobile application and select the option “Send money with Zelle.” On the new screen, you will see the Welcome to Zelle message.
You need to enter your email or phone number on the next page. You will see the different accounts available from which you can select and wait for the message to your email or phone number to log in to the mobile application.
Once inside, you find the menu with the different options where you have to select “Send money with Zelle.” Here you only need to add the amount and the account to which you will send and execute the transaction.
Zelle transfer limit USAA
Like almost all USAA platforms, there is a transfer limit with Zelle; per day, you can send up to three payments, 21 transactions per week, and up to 90 per month. Your total payments cannot total more than $1,000 within 24 hours.
On the other hand, you cannot send more than $2,500 in seven days or $10,000 per month. These limits are a way to manage customer accounts.
Requirements needed to use Zelle with the App
To link Zelle on the USAA app, you only need to meet some basic requirements such as:
- You must be at least 18 years old
- Valid phone number in the United States
- Add an active email address
- Have an active USAA FSB checking or savings account, but not less than ten days old
- Account balance must be current
- During registration, you must enable location services for the USAA mobile app on the phone where you have the App
- Update the App to its latest version to enjoy the quick login
Is it possible to make transfers from USAA to other banks?
Of course, however, processing the transfer time may take up to 24 hours. You can add savings and checking accounts, as long as it is a USA bank account.
