The purchase of clothing is a very delicate subject since it is always an option that you buy a size that is not the right one or perhaps in a color that does not favor the person you are buying from. Because of this, the return or exchange policy is an important issue to consider.
As a clothing retailer, PacSun offers a variety of items, from everyday clothing to swimwear and even footwear.
However, you should keep in mind that it is likely that some customers are not satisfied with their purchase or it was not the right one, so they have developed a return or exchange policy. Here we will tell you a little about it so you can buy your next outfit without fear that it won’t fit.
What is the PacSun return policy?
If you are a customer of the PacSun clothing chain, you must be aware of the store’s return and exchange policies. Requesting a refund or exchanging one or more items in the physical stores is feasible.
To make a return at PacSun, you have up to 60 days from the day of purchase to go to the store where the purchase was made. You will be credited the final invoice amount on the day of purchase.
If the item increases or decreases in price, this will not affect the refund; you will receive the same money you spent on your purchase.
If you want a full refund, it is recommended to go up to 30 days after the purchase because if it is more days, PacSun will not refund the full amount; instead, it will be refunded in the form of a gift card or merchandise exchange in the store.
To make the return, you must bring the item in perfect condition right to the receipt of payment or the final invoice for the merchandise. The store will refund your money with the same payment method you used for your purchase.
What if I don’t have my receipt?
If you lose or throw away your receipt and want to make a return, the store may offer to pay you back in the form of a merchandise credit for the money spent on the item, but not a refund.
However, there is a way to make a return and get a refund. You could ask for a refund if you paid with a debit or credit card.
You will have to fill out a series of data so that the system searches for the purchase that matches that data and thus confirms that the item was purchased there.
The required information is the following:
- Full name.
- Phone number.
- Mailing address and email address.
- Date of purchase (month/date/year).
- Place of purchase of the item (city/state or store number).
- Last four digits of the credit or debit card used at the store.
- Item purchased and store return location (city/state or store number).
Can I do the return of store purchase on the PacSun website?
One of the most frequently asked questions is trying to make a refund for merchandise purchased in a physical store via the website. However, this is not possible. The item must be returned to the same store where the item was purchased.
Return of purchase online
To return order on the PacSun website, you must enter and choose the option “Return an Online Order,” “and you will be redirected to a new window; there, you have to click on the option “Return by Mail,” “then the returns page will appear, in that tab, you must click again on the option “return by mail.”In that option, a series of steps will appear that you must follow, such as entering the order number that appears in the payment receipt, the email address, and your zip code next to your mail address.
Once you have entered all the data, you must click the “Start return” button, and the return process will begin. The item will be mailed to you; once PacSun has tracked the item and it arrives, you will be credited the amount of the item when you purchase it online.
Another option is to go to a PacSun store, show the order number at the physical store and request the return. If PayPal paid for the item, you must process the return by mail.
What items cannot be returned?
All items labeled “final sale” cannot be returned, as well as underwear, swimwear, body piercings, jewelry, and earrings.
How is the PacSun exchange policy?
In the case of merchandise exchanges at PacSun, the customer will have 30 business days to request the exchange of the item.
If the purchase was made in a physical store, the exchange could not be made on the website; the customer must go to a store with the receipt and make the physical exchange.
Merchandise exchanges are accepted only if the item is in perfect condition. If the item looks worn, stained, or even broken or torn, PacSun reserves the right to allow an exchange of merchandise.
Exchange products online
If the product was purchased on the PacSun website, it is possible to make an exchange. To do so, go to the “Returns & Exchanges” tab.
You must follow the same process we explained to return a product with a refund; look for the option “Return an Online Order” and say that you want to return the order by mail.
You will be asked for the purchase date, payment method, order number, and data, as well as your mailing address and zip code.
When you select the “Start return” option, the PacSun system will make the exchange process, and you will be able to choose your new product as if it were a recent purchase because the page will credit the money of the payment as if it were a merchandise credit.
PacSun will send the new merchandise to the address entered in the return process when the package is shipped. If you want to purchase other merchandise that costs more than the returned item, pay the difference, and you’re done.
