DSW Return Policy
DSW’s return and exchange policy specify that all merchandise other than those marked “FINAL SALE” can be returned or exchanged at a DSW store in the United States.
What is required? The only thing the customer needs is the payment receipt for the item. You will have 90 days from the date of purchase to make the return. However, even if it seems like a long period, the item must be in perfect condition at the moment of return.

Can I return an item if I have a gift receipt?
If you want to return with a gift receipt, you can proceed with the return by issuing a merchandise credit. It is also possible that the DSW store may offer an exchange and not a return credit.
If the return request is made on the DWS website, the funds will automatically be credited to the original payment funds, i.e., the person who issued the gift receipt.
Can I return an item bought during a discount sale?
If the item were purchased under special discount offers, DSW would refund only the final purchase price, even if the product is no longer on sale.
This means that if you bought a pair of shoes, for example, at $30 on sale and want to return them, but they are now at $45, the store will refund the price you paid when they were on sale ($30).
The rewards or offers will not be available or issued again unless the return is made on the same day of purchase. The customer will then be able to purchase with the same or another available offer, with the money refunded.

Return shipping is free if you are a DSW Gold or Elite member. For regular customers, it is recommended that you use the pre-paid return label, so the shipping cost is $8.50 for any number of items.
What if I miss the 90-day window for the return or exchange?
It is possible to make a return after the 90-day guarantee as long as the customer has the original invoice or receipt of payment. The refund will be made as a merchandise credit, regardless of the original payment method.
An exchange made after 60 days will also be issued as a merchandise credit, subject to any difference due on the refund.
