Sigma Gamma Rho is a sisterhood for collegiate and professional women to share and inspire one another. More specifically, it is a national collegiate sorority founded all the way back in 1922.
The sorority has been around for over 100 years! Years later today, Sigma Gamma Rho stands proud and has expanded to over 500 chapters located all around globe from the US, Canada, Germany, and even South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.

Membership Information
Both undergraduate and graduate members are accepted to join Sigma Gamma Rho. For potential graduate members, a degree from a four-year accredited educational institution is required.
For membership in an undergraduate chapter: A woman may be admitted as a member once there is proof of intention to enter and obtain a degree from a four-year accredited establishment. Membership is eligible while in attendance at the establishment.
Upon successfully completing one quarter, semester, or trimester, the candidate must meet the required membership cGPA of 2.5 (on a scale of 4.0).
To join a local chapter, you must be a member of Sigma Gamma Rho. Should there be no local chapters in your area, you may join Sigma Gamma Rho.
Fees
Every individual chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho has varying membership fee requirements. Nevertheless, the ball park ranges from $500 to $1,000.
Each member of Sigma Gamma Rho has their own story and they turn to the sisterhood for a variety of reasons. Whether it is in search for a lifelong bond, to network with fellow sisters, to learn to provide for the community, to learn about leadership, as well as other beneficial skills.
All these intrinsically shapes the lives for the majority of Sigma Gamma Rho sorority sisters, helping them find a sense of belonging in the world and opening themselves up to a world of endless opportunities.
