“I know this menu better than you do. I probably know it better than anybody in here.” So said former U.S. President Donald Trump last Wednesday in East Palestine, Ohio, when he visited a McDonald’s location in this location.
The 45th U.S. President went to this town to get information about the incident that caused a train derailment in early February, triggering a serious environmental risk due to the high toxicity of the chemicals scattered on the ground and in the air.
Trump’s curious phrase was captured in a video shared by The Recount via Twitter, where the American politician is seen interacting with the McDonald’s cashier. “What’s your specialty today?” Trump asked him. He intended to buy food for the members of the East Palestine police and fire department, who have had very tough days related to the incident mentioned above.

Trump also took the opportunity to greet a group of supporters who crowded into the Fast-Food Chain location. “Hello, everybody. That’s a nice, beautiful group of people!” he said to those who came to express their support.
It is worth remembering that Trump continues to remain in the political spotlight, despite the various controversies he has experienced since Joe Biden took over the White House in 2021.
The media personality and businessman is a lover of fast food, particularly the hamburgers of the American Multinational Fast Food Chain. His fanaticism for McDonald’s has been evident. Previous campaign managers have revealed that the former president usually ordered two Big Macs, accompanied by two Filet-o-Fish sandwiches, plus a large malted milkshake.
Likewise, Politico reported that during the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump would eat Egg McMuffins for breakfast. His son, Donald Trump Jr., recently commented on an episode of his podcast “Triggered” that his father’s fascination with burgers from the biggest fast-food chain in the U.S. is absolutely true.

“By the way, 100% accurate, ok. No one knows it better,” he commented. On some occasions, Trump asked for McDonald’s food to be brought to the White House. This was also the case when he was hospitalized at Walter Reed Hospital in October 2020 for Covid.
In his book “Fire and Fury,” journalist Michael Wolff explains that Trump’s fascination with fast food is because he is “afraid” of being poisoned.
The event in which a train with chemicals derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, has made the population think of a severe health risk in the future due to the fact that harmful chemicals were spilled.
The 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021 went to the town to talk with the fire department and criticized the government for “deceiving” the people. He also took the opportunity to bring cleaning supplements and bottles of his brand of water.
