Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA), or ‘Zeta’ for short is an international fraternity for women founded all the way back in 1898. The fraternity was initially founded in Farmville, Virginia, where it was one of the ‘Farmville Four’.
Farmville Four included the four fraternities for women founded at the school then. Today, its international headquarters is situated in Carmel, Indiana with over 257,000 active members.
ZTA Foundation Vs Breast Cancer
Meanwhile, the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation or ZTA Foundation was founded in 1954. Since its establishment, the fraternity has had notable partnerships such as the American Cancer Society which saw the foundation taking the driver’s seat in making great strides against breast cancer.
Plenty of noise was made by the society to highlight breast cancer awareness including their trademark phrase ‘Think Pink’ which is now a term widely used everywhere.
