Being introverted or extroverted goes with one’s character, but it also determines how we socialize at all levels, including in our jobs.
Obviously, for shy people, there are job models that are much more comfortable than others. Jobs in which it is not necessary to have a high level of relationship with others. Let’s review some of these jobs especially suitable for introverted people.
Jobs more suitable for introverted people
Financial Analyst
We have headed this section with a specific job as a financial analyst, but in fact, we could have listed quite a few more.
In finances, there are a large number of professional activities that require much more of a relationship with numbers and strategies than with people. Only occasionally do they have to interact with people when reporting data or performing consulting or auditing tasks, depending on the specific work activity.
Laboratory technician
This is another job in which people with less interpersonal skills can perform well. This is mainly because it is a job that requires a high level of concentration and is, in general, not very prone to interaction with other people.
However, this does not mean that there is no relationship among people who work in a laboratory, but it does mean that the level of communication is not as high as in other professional jobs related to health or research, for instance.
Blogger or freelance writer
Despite the need to keep in touch with potential clients and, above all, to keep in touch with social networks, it is true that nowadays, the job of a freelance writer is an especially solitary one.
In these jobs, the freelancer develops the content, writes, and edits generally from his place. There is no communication, except for occasional meetings or very specific professional contacts.
Video editor, audio editor, etc.
Like many solitary jobs usually enjoyed by introverted people, editing multimedia contents requires a high level of concentration and precision in which contact with other people is not really recommended.
Apart from meetings on guidelines for specific jobs or client talks, this is a job that is carried out under the pressure of avoiding mistakes and requires a high level of concentration.
Archivist or documentalist
In both cases, we find ourselves with job responsibilities based on information gathering, data control, and document review, among others.
These are not jobs that require a lot of interaction with others. They demand high levels of personal concentration and many hours alone with documents and reports. Probably one of the most obvious choices for shy people.
